I woke up this morning,
Things went the way they always do,
But something was different,
I kept thinking about you.
I know that you're somewhere,
Holding on the best you can,
I feel I should be there,
Holding onto your hand.
I ran so quickly,
I knew I had to get through,
Something has happened,
I needed to see you.
Red flashes and sirens sound,
I was behind the yellow line,
You were lying on the ground,
Emotions I couldn't define.
I held my breath,
Waiting for everything to go away,
I can't live without you,
Things won't be the same.
The sunlight starts to fade,
All of you was all of me,
You looked so afraid,
The pain won't leave.
Please wait for me.
