Greetings,

Well it's been an eventful couple of weeks, I've been meaning to post more photography but just haven't found the time to do so. I had a rather bad blow up with my family on the 4th of July which ended in my going to the fireworks alone. Come Monday however after I sent a long e-mail to my Dad about everything that has been weighing on me over the last 5 months, he showed up at my work place with a dozen roses and a big hug. Long story short, family problems resolved.

Thing's were going well after that, that is until the phone rang yesterday afternoon. It was our neighbor, he had just found Curtis the Cat. He had been hit by a car and was dead, talk about earth shattering news. It may seem silly to be so heart broken over a cat, but he wasn't just any cat. God made him special, he had a personality unlike any cat I have met, he would meet me when I got home, day or night to give me a kiss and would follow me all around the yard waiting while I would take pictures before attacking me for attention.

He knew when I needed comfort or a good laugh. He was playful but serious, loving but sometimes cranky, like we all are at times. He was one awesome critter and to make the mood worse, as soon as the phone hung up, it started to rain, it poured. Talk about hitting a wall doing 90 mph, I just lost one of my best friends. I loved him very much and I will miss him more than I can put into words.

In other, more happy news, I am taking a vacation after 3 long years, I will be heading out to stay a week with the awesome (and manly!) next week. It will be awesome, video games, pizza, sleeping in, video games and maybe even some video games. Not to mention a whole new state where I can run around and take pictures. Good times.
